Biography

I am a Biomedical Engineer with strong interests in the areas of medical instrumentation and physiological data processing. I had the fortune to work in Industry and Academia gaining knowledge and insights from both worlds.

My Lab is always looking for talented and motivated candidates for very challenging and rewarding PhD and Postdoc positions.

Research Interests

I am fascinated by medical data processing (imaging, segmentation, modelling), and medical devices development (biosensing and diagnostics). I am actively involved in investigating the use of segmentation and 3D modelling to improve surgical training, planning and outcomes. I am also studying the effects of sensorimotor stimulation (mainly focal or whole body vibrations) in healthy and pathological subjects with regards to motor functions and balance control (brain 2 body connections).

Through the years I have contributed to the design, development and testing of cutting-edge medical devices in collaboration with leading national and international Academic institutions and SMEs.

I am always looking for bright and very motivated candidates for challenging and extremely rewarding PhD and Post doctoral positions.
