    Research Interests

    I am a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellow, my project title is "Novel tuneable optical frequency combs: from visible to mid-infrared".

    My research interests include:

    - Mode-locking in fibre lasers.

    - Developing novel techniques for frequency combs generation in optical resonators. 

    - Developing the theory of mode-locked semiconductor lasers.

    - Parametric amplification and modulation instabilities in nonlinear optical systems.

    - Studying the dynamics of coupled excitable lasers.

    - Solitons and Inverse Scattering Transform applied to optical communications.

    - Optical sensing.

     

    Students interested in pursuing a PhD in topics connected to optical sensing, optical frequency combs, nonlinear photonics, mode-locking in lasers, and nonlinear fibre optics; are encouraged to contact me for further information.
