David joined Aston Law in September 2010 after completing undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Birmingham, gaining the LLM in commercial law (with distinction). While studying for his doctorate, David taught Equity and Trusts. At Aston, he now teaches the Law of Torts and Equity and Trusts. He is also module leader for the Law of Torts course. David completed his PhD thesis titled ‘The Overlapping of Legal Concepts: A Legal Realist Approach to the Classification of Private Law’ at the University of Birmingham in 2011. His teaching and research interests include Private Law Classification, Tort Law, Restitution, Trusts, Estoppel and Jurisprudence.
