    Personal profile

Deputy Programme Director for Pre-sessional English Programmes

I started working at Aston University in 2012. Prior to this, I lived in Madrid where I worked as an ELT teacher and co-ordinator in a large language school.  I then became Head Teacher Trainer for Cambridge University Press, Iberia.  I gained experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) whilst working on several Pre-sessional courses at the University of Sheffield.
Before taking on the role as Teaching Fellow in EAP and Pre-sessional Deputy Programme Director for the Centre for English Language and Communication at Aston (CELCA), I worked in the English department at Aston University as a Teaching Associate in TESOL, where I taught UG & PG modules and was a Dissertation Supervisor.  I have also worked for the Centre of Language Research at Aston (CLaRA) and Network for Languages, West Midlands as a CPD Teacher Educator and have also been an IELTS Preparation Tutor.

I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). I hold the MSc in TESOL through Aston University and the Post Graduate Certificate and Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
