PhD projects
If you would like to conduct a PhD in one of the following areas, please do not hesitate to contact me:
- Geophysical fluid dynamics
- Computation of rare events
- Turbulence in BECs or superfluids
- Wave turbulence
I am an applied mathematician working on the frontiers of nonlinear waves (wave turbulence, solitons, rogue waves), turbulence (classical, 2D and geophysical, quantum and superfluid), and nonlinear optics (liquid crystals, optical fibres).
I obtained a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Warwick in 2011, before undertaking 5 years as a postdoctoral researcher in ENS Lyon and the Weizmann Institute of Science. I joined Aston University as a Lecturer in 2016.
Research Highlights
My present research interests include the following topics:
Wave Turbulence
Quantum and Superfluid Turbulence
2D and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics
Nonlinear Optics
Those interested in pursuing a research project in one of these areas may contact me and may also consider applying for one of the following postdoctoral research fellowships:
I am the module leader for the following undergraduate modules
I hold SFHEA status and have an MEd in Higher Education Learning and Teaching.
