    Biography

    Dr Jiawei Wang joined Aston University in July 2014. Wang had his Bachelor and Master degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University in China. He then studied his PhD degree in Chemistry with Professor Sir Martyn Poliakoff in the University of Nottingham, working on material processing in supercritical fluids. After that, he worked in the University of Birmingham, University of Nottingham China campus and University of Manchester. His main research interests are applying heterogeneous catalysis in energy and environment related areas.

    Heterogeneous catalysis for environmental and sustainable energy applications: biomass thermal conversion, plastic-to-chemicals

    Nanotechnology: nanoparticles for medical applications.
