    - Development of non-animal technologies for evaluation of orthopaedic fracture fixation devices. Two streams: 1. Development of a mechanical testing profile for humeral fracture fixation devices. 2. Development of an in vitro bone healing model under dynamic loading to test the effects of fracture fixation.
    - Tribology testing - Analysis of the human body response to wear particles from novel biomaterials following wear testing.

    Personal profile

    Biography

    I have a background in materials and mechanical testing, with an interest in applying this in the medical and healthcare field. I teach undergraduate students across the Mechanical Engineering and Design programmes and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate project and research students. I work with colleagues in the NHS to ensure my work is impactful and valuable to end users.
