    - Development of non-animal technologies for evaluation of orthopaedic fracture fixation devices. Two streams: 1. Development of a mechanical testing profile for humeral fracture fixation devices. 2. Development of an in vitro bone healing model under dynamic loading to test the effects of fracture fixation.
    - Tribology testing - Analysis of the human body response to wear particles from novel biomaterials following wear testing.
