Neha joined Aston University as Research Fellow for the Enterprise Research Centre in September 2017. She is currently working on projects related to programme and policy analysis in relation to SMEs, scale-ups and high growth firms. Prior to this, alongside her PhD, she also worked extensively with various police forces across the UK as a research assistant for the Centre for Crime, Justice and Policing at the University of Birmingham.  

Her PhD topic focused on the impact of affirmative action policies on targeted individuals in India, with particular reference to public employment quotas, and the effect of women's working status on incidences of domestic violence. Her main interests lie in development and labour economics, as well as, policy and programme analysis
