Biography

I have been involved with international education since September 2007, when I took on my initial CELTA training.  Therefore, I have a keen interest in international education and the support of international students, especially in the delivery and assessment of EFL, EAL, EBP, ESP and EAP oriented courses for work-based and higher education purposes.

My work has covered many bases, as I have engaged with differing courses, at a variety of levels, from GCSE history to postgraduate business programmes, however the last ten years have mostly focussed on academic and pastoral support within higher ed - business based programmes.

My hope is to further engage with this area of interest via collaborative projects within, and external to, my current workplace.  Working as a support tutor for postgraduate LLM and MSc students will now hopefully provide me with the opportunities to tailor and adapt my provision accordingly.

My last in-depth research project was an analysis of applying the UKPSF to the Chinese HE teaching context and I do hope to expand my knowledge on such areas of interest by engaging in further international projects.
