    Research Interests

Fibre optical parametric amplifiers, multi-band optical networks, phase-sensitive amplifiers, Raman amplifiers, wavelength conversion

In 2011 Vladimir was awarded an Erasmus Mundus scholarship to study for MSc on Photonic Networks (MAPNET) in Aston University (UK) and Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (Italy). Since 2014 Vladimir worked on fibre optical parametric amplifiers (FOPA) at Aston University through PhD and currently postdoc position. Vladimir contributed to a number of projects focusing on FOPA application in real optical communication systems, phase-sensitive amplification, passive optical networks and optical phase conjugation. Before 2011 Vladimir’s research was focused on diffraction gratings and lenses for telescopes, detection systems and lasers.
