    Biography

    Dr Yu Jia is a Senior Lecturer at Aston University since 2019, having previously been an Associate Professor at University of Chester. Dr Jia's research expertise is on nonlinear micro-dynamics, functional nanomaterials, energy harvesting and smart sensing. Dr Jia has/is:

    • published 58 journal articles, 54 international conference papers, filed 12 patents,
    • been a PI/Co-I for £3.5 million (£1M to institution) worth of funding and £400k worth of scholarships, generated £200k in IP royalty, and a named researcher for £800k worth of projects,
