Abstract
In this article, we examine the impact of the publication of Autio, Sapienza, & Almedia (2000) on the literature of international business and entrepreneur studies following the similar approach used by Devinney & Hohberger (2017). In their paper, Autio et al. showed the impact of a firm's age at entry, knowledge intensity, and imitability on international growth. In respect of doing that they
"employed knowledge-based theory to shed light on international growth in entrepreneurial firms" (Autio et al., 2000). In our perspective, we believe that this study (Autio et al., 2000) had a huge impact on entrepreneurial business studies so far. Many post studies used the work of Autio et al. to establish new grounds in international entrepreneurship and international business studies and also
supported their ideas (Anderson & Eshima, 2013; Casillas & MorenoMenéndez, 2014; Coviello, 2015)
