Assisstive robotic walking devices: A state of the art review

Abstract

In societies with the high statics of aged people, walk-assist robots, play an effective role in rehabilitation of mobility-disabled individuals as an assistive device that can help them to do their daily works independently. This paper aimed to review the importance of passive assistive devises in mobility improvement. It also proposes related surveys focusing on the use assistive walkers as qualified assistants in sit-to-stand and sit-to-walk tasks which assist the mobility-disabled patients to independently do their daily tasks without any nursing actions.
