N2 - Hybrid Simulation in the Operational Research (OR) domain can be defined as the combination of two or more of the simulation methods of discrete-event simulation, agent-based simulation and system dynamics. This article examines how this combination might be achieved by reviewing the characteristics of the simulation methods, considering design view options and taking into account software tools for implementation. The purpose is to provide guidance on how hybrid simulation configurations can be designed and implemented.
