abstract = "All Rights Reserved. The lack of standards for knowledge management education is a significant challenge for the advancement of the field, for the sustainability of institutional programs, the future competencies of knowledge workers and the effective growth of knowledge organizations. Bedford Georgieff and Brown-Grant (2017) proposed a framework to fill this gap. The proposed framework was comprised of seven learning levels covering primary through post-graduate education, and nine subject strands that are core to the field of knowledge management. To move the framework forward the authors proposed mapping the nine strands to existing curricula for Levels 1, 2 and 3 - primary through secondary schools. This research reports on the nature and extent of coverage of the nine strands in the curriculum and educational standards for Levels 1-3 in seven school systems. The research suggests that the strands are not taught to students but are generally treated as pedagogical methods used by teachers. The research suggests there is a need for a knowledge sciences curriculum for students and educators alike.",
