Abstract
An optical fiber transversal filter based on fiber Bragg grating arrays has been studied. In this device bandpass fdtering in microwave domain is realized. The frequency response of the filter is tunable by changing the operating optical wavelength. The signalto- noise ratio and the quality factor of the fdter are improved by apodizing the reflected intensities fiom the gratings and increasing the number of the grating arrays.
