Organizational cognitive neuroscience is a rapidly developing field of research aimed at the neuroscientific study of human behavior in organizations. The purpose of this chapter is to provide a brief overview of the field and to elaborate on the role magnetoencephalography can play within this new area of research given its inherent advantages of noninvasively measuring macroscopic brain dynamics. Moreover, this chapter aims at elucidating some of the broader conceptual challenges as well as ethical considerations that have been raised by recent neuroscience-based approaches to the study of economically relevant behaviors; as such considerations will be relevant to neuroscientists as well as management scholars alike.
