    Abstract

The reaction-diffusion systems were described using a supercritical pitchfork-Hopf bifurcation near the soft onset of birhythmicity. The stable autonomous pacemakers representing a generic bind of spatiotemporal patterns were studied using general amplitude equations and perturbation theory. It was shown that autonomous pacemakers can drift under the influence of parameter gradients.
