Abstract
Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) play a significant role in enhancing the resilience of communities affected by crises through their services and resources. Furthermore, NGOs are increasingly communicating with their stakeholders and beneficiaries via Social Media (SM) platforms. Building and increasing social resilience of refugees and hosting nationals has become a priority for governments and international organisations worldwide. This paper will examine the role of SM in enhancing the social resilience of refugees and hosting communities in conflict-affected zones. In addition, this research will explore the usage of SM platforms by NGOs to promote social resilience and social capital in a refugee crisis context
